♥ ‘Glee’ Gets Renewed for a 4th Season! ♥

Fox has given early renewals to three Tuesday night shows: Glee, Raising Hope and New Girl. This will mark a fourth season for Glee, a second season of New Girl and a third edition of Raising Hope. “Over the past season, New Girl has become the hottest new appointment series for young adults; Raising Hope has established itself as one of the smartest and most unique offbeat comedies on television; and Glee has continued its success as a genre-defying, global cultural phenomenon,” said Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly. “All three of these comedies add a fresh and distinctive flavor to our Tuesday nights, and I’m really happy to bring them back to our air next season.” Glee (8.9 million viewers, 3.8 rating) has fallen 7 percent in the adult demo ratings this season compared to last year, and Raising Hope (5.6 million, 2.6) dropped 12 percent. New Girl has averaged 8.3 million viewers and a 4.2 rating. There’s no word yet on the fate of Fringe, Alcatraz, The Finder. We’re still hearing a Fringe final season deal seems likely. “I feel like if we came back for a third season, we’d reach even more people,” Raising Hope‘s Martha Plimpton tells EW.com. “The audience is slowing coming around. We have this very loyal core audience, and throughout the second season, they’ve been slowly branching out and telling other people to watch, and that’s been really satisfying.”
